The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Romelanda BF's Rolf Stor got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 9th minute, Jonas Colin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 10 played minutes Romelanda BF got a freekick which was hit by Jonas Gustafsson. Rasmus Sandberg hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 19thth minute of the game Tord Smefeldt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Romelanda BF's Krister Ekström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tord Smefeldt in the 20th minute of play forced Romelanda BF's goalkeeper Krister Ekström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolf Stor hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Knut Anundsson's late challenge caught a Svartsjö IK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Knut Anundsson helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Svartsjö IK booed when Romelanda BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Knut Anundsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th minute, Nils Carlberg sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Romelanda BF's Krister Ekström didn't even have to move. After 38 played minutes Romelanda BF got a freekick which was hit by Knut Anundsson. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Tord Smefeldt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Svartsjö IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Tord Smefeldt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Krister Ekström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kjell-Arne Vallengren was the one to do the kick off. Krister Ekström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tord Smefeldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Tord Smefeldt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Svartsjö IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Tord Smefeldt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Svartsjö IK's Karl Valrot proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Svartsjö IK from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Evert Söderström got free with Karl Valrot in the 98th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Romelanda BF walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
