After 6 minutes of play, Likenäs BF's Leif Kruse made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sven Forsman was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sven Forsman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leif Kruse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sven Forsman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Aspengren in the 20th minute of the match. Patric Lundblad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Börge Björnberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After a rather tough play, Likenäs BF's Ture Grelsson got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Adrian Lundgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patric Lundblad having to interfere. A collision led to Palm BK getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Kenneth Lindberg hit a great ball. When Börge Björnberg came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Palm BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Börge Björnberg couldn't finish the play. Likenäs BF's Leif Kruse got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 43rd minute, Sten Arenius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Martin Aspengren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven Forsman having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Börge Björnberg was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Likenäs BF booed when Palm BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mikael Jakobsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Palm BK's goal looked a bit too open when Leif Kruse came free, but Sven Forsman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Palm BK's Kenneth Lindberg got a free kick in the 58th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Martin Aspengren got free with Sven Forsman in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Palm BK defense, Edward Heggert kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sven Forsman. The Palm BK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sven Forsman should have stopped the shot. If Börje Björnsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Johan Nordström scored 0-4 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sven Forsman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sven Forsman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leif Kruse in the 79th minute of play. After having played for 83 minutes, Börge Björnberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palm BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Börge Björnberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Johan Nordström took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Sven Forsman to make any attempt to save it. Patric Lundblad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Börge Björnberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Ture Grelsson charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ture Grelsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 91st minute, Ture Grelsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Palm BK's Börge Björnberg got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Likenäs BF's Patric Lundblad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Börge Björnberg in the 95th minute of play.
