Edgar Haegg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Roger Lang stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 庄寒谦's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. If Edgar Haegg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.
