After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Mats Törnkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Glada Gänget's supporters rose to their feet, but Mats Törnkvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernt Tinglöf breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mats Törnkvist in the 36th minute of play forced IFK Göteborg's goalkeeper Bernt Tinglöf to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Glada Gänget's Kalle Joelson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Corrado Piermattei in the 39th minute of play. Mats Törnkvist in the 41stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bernt Tinglöf, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The supporters of Glada Gänget booed when IFK Göteborg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Corrado Piermattei didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mats Törnkvist in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernt Tinglöf prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
