The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Oskarshamns AIK's Henrik Vennerlund nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. David Berg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Harald Björkdal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Philip Sandwall in the 8th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the game, Philip Sandwall cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Harald Björkdal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Malcolm Emander got free with David Berg in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bertil Heggert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Harald Björkdal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Harald Björkdal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sören Melberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25thth minute of the game Sören Melberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Oskarshamns AIK's Harald Björkdal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 28th match minute, Oskarshamns AIK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Holger Stenman to maneuver through the defense. Bertil Heggert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With an all-out effort, Oskarshamns AIK's David Berg threw himself towards the right post 30 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Henrik Vennerlund, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a rather tough play, Oskarshamns AIK's Charlie Hadrup got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 32nd minute of the match Putte Gullesson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Harald Björkdal skillfully saved the ball. In the 34th minute Bertil Heggert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harald Björkdal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Harald Björkdal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Philip Sandwall, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oskarshamns AIK's Harald Björkdal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Philip Sandwall in the 39th minute of play. Holger Stenman charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Holger Stenman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Oskarshamns AIK's Harald Björkdal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bertil Heggert in the 42nd minute of play. After 46 played minutes Oskarshamns AIK got a freekick which was hit by Mark Österlund. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Henrik Vennerlund stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Henrik Vennerlund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Berg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dick Galle during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sören Melberg in the 61st minute of play forced Oskarshamns AIK's goalkeeper Harald Björkdal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 74 minutes into the match, Oskarshamns AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Bertil Heggert came free, but Harald Björkdal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Harald Björkdal came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Bluehills Rovers's Philip Sandwall. But to his dismay, Philip Sandwall quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. The supporters of Bluehills Rovers booed when Oskarshamns AIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel Firmin didn't get a good kick on the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Oskarshamns AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Bertil Heggert came free, but Harald Björkdal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Harald Björkdal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Philip Sandwall in the 87th minute. 91 minutes into the match, Sören Melberg dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Harald Björkdal, 2-4. In the 94th match minute, Oskarshamns AIK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Malcolm Emander to maneuver through the defense.
