In the 10th minute George Sjö shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michel Kilman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th minute, Peder Haegg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joakim Wallin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wiktor Strömqvist in the 17th minute of play. George Sjö received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Michel Kilman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roger Sjöberg scored 0-2 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joakim Wallin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 29th minute Roger Sjöberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joakim Wallin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st match minute, Hornmyr IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Krister Sjöberg to maneuver through the defense. When Hornmyr IF's Wiktor Strömqvist in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 46th minute, Jan-Erik Fågel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joakim Wallin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when George Sjö stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Aaron Brolin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. George Sjö struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Michel Kilman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fittja IF. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wiktor Strömqvist got free with Joakim Wallin in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Fittja IF's Kenneth Lindholm got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Joakim Wallin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roger Sjöberg in the 95th minute of play. Hornmyr IF's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
