Stig-Ove Stål hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Manfred Sikström made in the 9th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Bygdeå's Lars-Erik Lindgren. Ian Kilberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dag Vassenius, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Adrian Hård made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andreas Bohlin in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dag Vassenius in the 27th minute of play forced Bygdeå's goalkeeper Ian Kilberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Bygdeå's Adrian Hård threw himself towards the right post 28 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Andreas Bohlin, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Adrian Hård showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andreas Bohlin, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 39th minute, Dag Vassenius ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ian Kilberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The supporters of BK Halvdan booed when Bygdeå was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Börje Fastesson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half BK Halvdan were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dag Vassenius was the one to do the kick off. Adrian Hård took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andreas Bohlin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stig-Ove Stål fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ian Kilberg having to interfere. In the 56thth minute of the game Andreas Bohlin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BK Halvdan's Adrian Hård was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Dag Vassenius came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the BK Halvdan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dag Vassenius couldn't finish the play. Adrian Hård took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilbert Kalfhage, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andreas Bohlin in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adrian Hård saved BK Halvdan from getting behind. When the match clock showed 68 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Andreas Bohlin sped through BK Halvdan's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Adrian Hård. Andreas Bohlin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrian Hård having to interfere. After 72 minutes, Gilbert Kalfhage mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bygdeå and the BK Halvdan players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Bygdeå getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Gilbert Kalfhage hit a great ball. Gilbert Kalfhage was shown his second yellow card after 76 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Börje Fastesson hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Alfons Bark got a throw-in 81 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Sture Beckeman. The audience was convinced that Dag Vassenius's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ian Kilberg was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. Ian Kilberg made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Ayat Rondonuwu sent off a good shot on target. Andreas Bohlin might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adrian Hård. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andreas Bohlin ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 96th minute, Dag Vassenius ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ian Kilberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. The BK Halvdan supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing BK Halvdan would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
