Umeå FC's Olov Boström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Umeå FC from getting a goal against them. Stig Salqvist came free with the goalkeeper in the 6th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Olov Boström could save by the left post. Stig Salqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olov Boström having to interfere. When Umeå FC's Juan Fågel in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
