An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven-Edvin Blomqvist in the 14th minute of play forced Banana FC's goalkeeper Valdemar Fors to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the game, Sven-Edvin Blomqvist cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Valdemar Fors was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Banana FC's Ingmar Vik got a free kick in the 31st minute. Valdemar Fors showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Edvin Blomqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Banana FC's Valdemar Fors played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kent Sundling in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Umeå FC's Bengt-Arne Rolandsson seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Bengt-Arne Rolandsson the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Umeå FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Bengt-Arne Rolandsson had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Bengt-Arne Rolandsson hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Sven-Edvin Blomqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Valdemar Fors tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Mark Ingemarsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

The wind increased when Robert Petersson made the kick off in the second half. Ian Ivarsson scored 1-5 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Olov Boström, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Banana FC's Villiam Ahlerot got a free kick in the 60th minute. Viktor Johansson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sven-Edvin Blomqvist struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Valdemar Fors didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Umeå FC. When Kent Sundling fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Umeå FC's protests and gave Kent Sundling a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Umeå FC's Kent Sundling got a free kick in the 75th minute. In the 77th minute, Ingmar Vik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 79 minutes into the match, Banana FC's goalkeeper Valdemar Fors had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sven-Edvin Blomqvist. Valdemar Fors took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl-Axel Nordkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olov Boström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Robert Petersson went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-6 was the resulting score. 2-7 became the score in the 89th minute when Sven-Edvin Blomqvist elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 94th play minute Sven-Edvin Blomqvist came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Valdemar Fors. 2-8.
