When Leif Hammarbäck came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Lunden City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leif Hammarbäck couldn't finish the play. A hard shot 7 in the game by Jan-Ove Godholm from a close distance when the talented Gunnar Berg managed to make a qualified save. Svängsta's players were relieved. After 18 played minutes Lunden City got a freekick which was hit by Malte Dahlqvist. The audience was convinced that Leif Hammarbäck's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gunnar Berg was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Vilgot Berggren hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. 30 minutes into the match, Svängsta's goalkeeper Gunnar Berg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jan-Ove Godholm. Leif Hammarbäck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gunnar Berg having to interfere. Svängsta's Gunnar Berg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Svängsta from getting a goal against them. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jan-Ove Godholm stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57th match minute, Lunden City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Erik Kinnman to maneuver through the defense. Ermegildo Argider kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. The supporters of Lunden City booed when Svängsta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marc Klint didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th minute, Jan-Ove Godholm left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lunden City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. 71 minutes into the match, Svängsta's goal looked a bit too open when Leif Hammarbäck came free, but Gunnar Berg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leif Hammarbäck struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Gunnar Berg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lunden City. Leif Hammarbäck might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gunnar Berg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leif Hammarbäck ran back to his position shaking his head. Holger Forss hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Leif Hammarbäck's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gunnar Berg was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Gunnar Berg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leif Hammarbäck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd minute Jan-Ove Godholm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gunnar Berg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
