The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Torbjörn Öberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. After 77 minutes of play, Rydaholm IFK's Marcus Löfdahl made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leif Browall was left in no man's land by his defense there! Stig-Arne Duset might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Torbjörn Öberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stig-Arne Duset ran back to his position shaking his head. If Malcolm Göransson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Torbjörn Öberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Malcolm Göransson, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. FK Crvena Zvezda's Leif Browall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl Lundberg in the 91st minute of play. The supporters of FK Crvena Zvezda booed when Rydaholm IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdemar Ekgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see FK Crvena Zvezda lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
