In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Godis's goalkeeper Jörn Jernberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. José Carlos Eger might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jörn Jernberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. José Carlos Eger ran back to his position shaking his head. When José Carlos Eger, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 13 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Jörn Jernberg was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After having played for 16 minutes, Lars Uggla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nou Mercat Club de Futbol's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lars Uggla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 18th match minute, Nou Mercat Club de Futbol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Malte Lundberg to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in FC Godis's zone, Lars Uggla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jörn Jernberg came out of the goal and Lars Uggla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jörn Jernberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from José Carlos Eger went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. José Carlos Eger's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jörn Jernberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. When Oskar Wall fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Godis's protests and gave Oskar Wall a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Godis fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 39th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Nou Mercat Club de Futbol a penalty, 40 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jimmy Vesterberg, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of FC Godis's Jörn Jernberg. 0-2. In the 46th minute of the match Nou Mercat Club de Futbol got a corner. FC Godis's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jimmy Vesterberg ran over to the corner to take the kick.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. José Carlos Eger was the one to do the kick off. Jörn Jernberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lars Uggla went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. In the 57th play minute José Carlos Eger came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jörn Jernberg. 0-5. In the 70th minute, Malte Lundberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 72 minutes into the match, José Carlos Eger had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jörn Jernberg. FC Godis's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that José Carlos Eger was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. After having played for 76 minutes, José Carlos Eger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nou Mercat Club de Futbol's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Carlos Eger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jörn Jernberg was out of position in the 79 minute of play, and Lars Uggla capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lars Uggla really showed his touch with that goal: 0-8. Oskar Wall lost his temper 85 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 84th minute of the game. One of FC Godis:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Nou Mercat Club de Futbol:s goal. José Carlos Eger could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Jörn Jernberg made a huge save. Lars Uggla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 96th minute Roger Bergfelt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Verner Uggla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
