Kirby Boys F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Olof Lundqvist was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Georg Ros was the one to do the kick off. Västerås City's Simon Billvall got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gösta Dalström during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tommy Gernberg kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. In the 91st minute of the match, Verner Brandin tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Josef Wallander saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Mark Kling received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Josef Wallander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Kirby Boys F.C. defense, Mark Kling kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Josef Wallander. The Kirby Boys F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Josef Wallander should have stopped the shot. Västerås City played a much better game than Kirby Boys F.C. and deserved their victory. The Kirby Boys F.C. players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
