Sten Tomasson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert Frisck having to interfere. Arvid Qvalfeldt's late challenge caught a Lokomotiv Röda Stjärnan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arvid Qvalfeldt helped the player get up and apologised. In the 7th minute, Arvid Qvalfeldt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 13th minute of the match Arne Gustafsson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Robert Frisck showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Lokomotiv Röda Stjärnan's goal looked a bit too open when Arvid Qvalfeldt came free, but Jörgen Malmström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jörgen Malmström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jon Täman in the 16th minute of play. After 18 minutes of play, Skagersvik's Ingemar Billberg made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jörgen Malmström was left in no man's land by his defense there! 21 minutes into the game, Gunnar Vallengren was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Skagersvik's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lokomotiv Röda Stjärnan the free kick. A collision led to Skagersvik getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Allan Jönsson kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. When Jon Berggren fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lokomotiv Röda Stjärnan's protests and gave Jon Berggren a yellow card for diving instead. Jörgen Malmström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gunnar Vallengren, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. 42 minutes into the game, Skagersvik's Jon Täman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jörgen Malmström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. 46 minutes into the match, Skagersvik's goalkeeper Robert Frisck had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sten Tomasson.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bo Hammarberg to make the kick off. Jörgen Malmström was a little too slow when Gunnar Bergqvist got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 51st minute. The score was now 0-5. Bo Hammarberg hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. 57 minutes into the game, Skagersvik's Jon Täman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jörgen Malmström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. In the 63rd minute, Arvid Qvalfeldt made a precise shot to the right of Jörgen Malmström. Lokomotiv Röda Stjärnan's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. Ingemar Billberg's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jörgen Malmström firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 75 minutes of play, Skagersvik's Jon Täman made it 0-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jörgen Malmström was left in no man's land by his defense there! A hard shot 78 in the game by Ingemar Billberg from a close distance when the talented Jörgen Malmström managed to make a qualified save. Lokomotiv Röda Stjärnan's players were relieved. Lokomotiv Röda Stjärnan's defense didn't have a chance, in the 81st minute, when Jon Täman scored to the left of an out of position Jörgen Malmström, making the score, 0-9. 86 minutes into the match, Arvid Qvalfeldt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jörgen Malmström. Lokomotiv Röda Stjärnan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arvid Qvalfeldt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-10. If Gunnar Bergqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Skagersvik's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
