The Symphony Blue fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonas Alefors should have stopped the shot. 12 minutes into the match, Erlend Øvereng had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Olov Åström. Strömnäs IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Erlend Øvereng was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Strömnäs IF's Olov Åström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Strömnäs IF from getting a goal against them. Olov Åström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erlend Øvereng, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A very good chance. 30 minutes into the match, Strömnäs IF's goalkeeper Olov Åström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marko Dahlgren. Joakim Hökqvist scored 3-2 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonas Alefors, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 36 minutes into the match, Strömnäs IF's goal looked a bit too open when Erlend Øvereng came free, but Olov Åström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Symphony Blue getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Jens-Ola Isaksson hit a great ball. 42 minutes into the match, Marko Dahlgren had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Olov Åström. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After 51 minutes of play, Symphony Blue's Walter Hård made it 5-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Olov Åström was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jonas Alefors was out of position in the 56 minute of play, and Joakim Hökqvist capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Joakim Hökqvist really showed his touch with that goal: 5-3. Serafino Bernad kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Jack Ekenberg took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 59th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Olov Åström. Strömnäs IF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Olov Åström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erlend Øvereng, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Olov Åström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marko Dahlgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olov Åström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-3. When Joakim Hökqvist came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Strömnäs IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joakim Hökqvist couldn't finish the play. Strömnäs IF's Olov Åström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erlend Øvereng in the 71st minute of play. When the match clock showed 73 minutes, the score became 7-3 when Marko Dahlgren sped through Strömnäs IF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Olov Åström. Marko Dahlgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mattias Lindgren hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Olov Åström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erlend Øvereng, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Symphony Blue walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
