Vina Del Mar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Täfteå IFK the free kick. The supporters of Täfteå IFK booed when Vina Del Mar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emam Maged didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hans Magnusson in the 13th minute of play forced Täfteå IFK's goalkeeper Allan Ekelund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fredric Spets hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Carlos Trigo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 19thth minute, Allan Ekelund skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpected shot in the 20th minute by Carlos Trigo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Trigo in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Allan Ekelund prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Täfteå IFK's Allan Ekelund proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Täfteå IFK from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Trigo in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Allan Ekelund saved Täfteå IFK from getting behind. In the 27th match minute, Täfteå IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jens-Erik Johnsson to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Czeslaw Niewiadomski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Täfteå IFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Czeslaw Niewiadomski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jerry Unesson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Vina Del Mar getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Fredric Spets hit a great ball. 36 minutes into the match, Täfteå IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Trigo came free, but Allan Ekelund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute André Hellgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Allan Ekelund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute of the match Vina Del Mar got a corner. Täfteå IFK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Emam Maged ran over to the corner to take the kick. With an all-out effort, Vina Del Mar's Allan Ekelund threw himself towards the right post 43 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Hans Magnusson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 46th minute Carlos Trigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Allan Ekelund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fredric Spets kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlos Trigo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Carlos Trigo scored 2-0 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Allan Ekelund, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 56th minute, Jonathan Björkdal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jens-Erik Johnsson kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. When André Hellgren came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Vina Del Mar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Hellgren couldn't finish the play. Carlos Trigo scored 3-0 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Allan Ekelund, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Täfteå IFK's Vilgot Strömberg got a free kick in the 68th minute. The audience was convinced that Carlos Trigo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Allan Ekelund was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Czeslaw Niewiadomski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Täfteå IFK's Allan Ekelund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Hellgren in the 80th minute of play. Allan Ekelund didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from André Hellgren went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Carlos Trigo struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Allan Ekelund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vina Del Mar. Allan Ekelund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harry Apelqvist in the 88th minute of the match. Allan Ekelund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Trigo, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Vilgot Strömberg hit a great ball. There was no doubt that Vina Del Mar were the better team. Vina Del Mar's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
