In the 5th minute, Ernst Örn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kvicksund's Bo Spets played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernst Örn in the 9th minute of play. Bo Spets didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joar Forssell went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Michael Johansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Calle Dalgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 15th minute, Joar Forssell ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bo Spets was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 19th minute of the match Kvicksund got a corner. IF Karlstad Fotboll's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mattias Wester ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 20 played minutes Kvicksund got a freekick which was hit by Georg Knutsson. In the 21st minute, Jens Flink made a precise shot to the right of Bo Spets. Kvicksund's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Joar Forssell hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henry Josefsson in the 28th minute of play forced IF Karlstad Fotboll's goalkeeper Michael Johansson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bo Spets showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens Flink in the 31st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in IF Karlstad Fotboll's zone, Calle Dalgren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Michael Johansson came out of the goal and Calle Dalgren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Kenny Flink fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kvicksund's protests and gave Kenny Flink a yellow card for diving instead. Ernst Örn scored 0-4 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bo Spets, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bo Spets made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joar Forssell in the 44th minute of play. Jens Flink fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bo Spets having to interfere.

The supporters of IF Karlstad Fotboll booed when Kvicksund was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Georg Knutsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67thth minute of the game Henry Josefsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but IF Karlstad Fotboll's Michael Johansson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in IF Karlstad Fotboll's zone, Henry Josefsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Michael Johansson came out of the goal and Henry Josefsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 74th match minute, IF Karlstad Fotboll was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sigvard Vinström to maneuver through the defense. If Mattias Wester had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Henry Josefsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bo Spets made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Örtendal in the 88th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 90 minutes, Bo Spets successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Michael Johansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivar Lövskog in the 93rd minute of play. In the 95th minute Joar Forssell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bo Spets saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Kvicksund supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching IF Karlstad Fotboll's performance. The match ended with a win for IF Karlstad Fotboll.
