Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Portalens FK's Mikael Forsberg started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Portalens FK's Simon Blumentritt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Nordmark in the 8th minute of play. With 17 minutes on the clock, Lars Bennet commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Simon Blumentritt had in the 19thth minute some difficulties stopping Krister Bark's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 19th minute, Krister Bark ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Simon Blumentritt was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Mikael Forsberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bengt-Arne Thidén having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Portalens FK's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Nordmark came free, but Simon Blumentritt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 27 minutes of play, Portalens FK's Mikael Forsberg made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bengt-Arne Thidén was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet as Mikael Forsberg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bengt-Arne Thidén. That made the score 2-1 in the 30 minute of play. Stig-Ove Hjortberg's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 33rdth minute, Bengt-Arne Thidén skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, Portalens FK's Edvard Beckeman got a free kick in the 35th minute. After 36 minutes, Aleksander Asserlindh mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Athlétic FC and the Portalens FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Aleksander Asserlindh hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Bengt-Arne Thidén made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stig-Ove Hjortberg in the 40th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Athlétic FC's zone, Edvard Beckeman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bengt-Arne Thidén came out of the goal and Edvard Beckeman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stig-Ove Hjortberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bengt-Arne Thidén having to interfere. Bengt-Arne Thidén was a little too slow when Mikael Forsberg got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 3-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

Portalens FK's Edvard Beckeman got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bengt-Arne Thidén showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Melker Björck in the 53rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Athlétic FC's Ingemar Åkesson got a free kick in the 55th minute. 57 minutes into the match, Portalens FK's goal looked a bit too open when Maximilian Ålberg came free, but Simon Blumentritt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th minute, Stig-Ove Hjortberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bengt-Arne Thidén was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Edvard Beckeman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 69 minutes into the game, Portalens FK's Stig-Ove Hjortberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bengt-Arne Thidén made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-1. In the 72nd minute, Melker Björck made a precise shot to the right of Bengt-Arne Thidén. Athlétic FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-1. The audience was convinced that Stig-Ove Hjortberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bengt-Arne Thidén was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. 76 minutes into the game, Portalens FK's Edvard Beckeman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bengt-Arne Thidén made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-1. When Stig-Ove Hjortberg came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Portalens FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stig-Ove Hjortberg couldn't finish the play. Stig-Ove Hjortberg scored 9-1 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bengt-Arne Thidén, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Melker Björck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stig-Ove Hjortberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bengt-Arne Thidén. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stig-Ove Hjortberg ran back to his position shaking his head. Portalens FK's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
