Valdemar Berggren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Göran Lindkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. If Hjalmar Andersson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rolf Bergstedt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hjalmar Andersson in the 24th minute of play. Göran Björkkvist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hjalmar Andersson kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, Vikens IK's Per-Erik Biörkman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Valdemar Berggren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Abisko getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Erling Västerberg hit a great ball. In the 41st minute, Bara Fet sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Abisko's Valdemar Berggren didn't even have to move. 43 minutes into the match, Vikens IK's goal looked a bit too open when Hjalmar Andersson came free, but Rolf Bergstedt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 44 played minutes Vikens IK got a freekick which was hit by Vilhelm Asklöv. When Brian Siggman fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vikens IK's protests and gave Brian Siggman a yellow card for diving instead. In the 47th match minute, Vikens IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brian Siggman to maneuver through the defense. Vikens IK's Rolf Bergstedt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hjalmar Andersson in the 48th minute of play.

After having played for 56 minutes, Patrik Asplund managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vikens IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patrik Asplund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Göran Lindkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Per-Erik Biörkman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 63 minutes into the match, Patrik Asplund had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Valdemar Berggren. Abisko's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Patrik Asplund was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Gert Bohlin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Rolf Bergstedt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 71 minutes into the match, Abisko's Gert Bohlin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rolf Bergstedt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rolf Bergstedt came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Abisko's Hjalmar Andersson. But to his dismay, Hjalmar Andersson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Hjalmar Andersson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolf Bergstedt having to interfere. Gert Bohlin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Rolf Bergstedt made a huge save. Abisko succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Vikens IK had controlled the match.
