Sverker Martinsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Kruse in the 19th minute of play. Per-Erik Biörkman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rolf Bergstedt, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 38 minutes into the match, Patrik Asplund notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Skurups AIF's Sverker Martinsson. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jamus Kempes to make the kick off.
