Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Erling Öman got the match started through his kick off. In the 5th minute, Roland Svensson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erling Öman came free with the goalkeeper in the 7th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ralf Rosen could save by the left post. In the 12th minute Leo Bruse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robert Tinglöf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute, Leo Bruse made a precise shot to the right of Robert Tinglöf. Hammarby's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Erik Axelsson charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Hammarby's supporters rose to their feet, but Kim Bock was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ralf Rosen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Blue Saints's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Melker Lindkvist 29 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. With a little luck, Blue Saints's Ralf Rosen got control of the ball when Erling Öman tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ralf Rosen made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Erling Öman sent off a good shot on target. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 53rd minute, Erik Axelsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 54th match minute, Blue Saints was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lars Bohlin to maneuver through the defense. Hammarby's Daniel Löfkvist got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lars Bohlin kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Daniel Löfkvist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 65 minutes into the match, Hammarby's goalkeeper Robert Tinglöf had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Olov Engman. If Roland Svensson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Roland Svensson struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. A wasted opportunity for Blue Saints. 78 minutes into the match, Hammarby's goalkeeper Robert Tinglöf had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roland Svensson. Ralf Rosen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erling Öman in the 84th minute of play. Melker Lindkvist's late challenge caught a Blue Saints's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Melker Lindkvist helped the player get up and apologised. Melker Lindkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. In the 95th minute Leo Bruse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robert Tinglöf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 96th match minute, Hammarby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erik Axelsson to maneuver through the defense. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
