The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jan Smolarek stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Lucas Beltrán recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benjamin Smed. Andy Eklund was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 55th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. A collision led to IFK United getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Hans Vester hit a great ball. Lucas Beltrán recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the IFK United defense, Rafal Cichewski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benjamin Smed. The IFK United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benjamin Smed should have stopped the shot. Lucas Beltrán might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benjamin Smed. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lucas Beltrán ran back to his position shaking his head. 64 minutes into the match, IFK United's goalkeeper Benjamin Smed had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jan Smolarek. IFK United's Benjamin Smed proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save IFK United from getting a goal against them.
