The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Staffan Åman's late challenge caught a BrommaPojkarna BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Staffan Åman helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of BrommaPojkarna BK booed when Baxters Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Staffan Åman didn't get a good kick on the ball. BrommaPojkarna BK's Per-Arne Åkerberg couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 5th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Baxters Boys. Bengt-Åke Landin's late challenge caught a Baxters Boys's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bengt-Åke Landin helped the player get up and apologised. In the 8th minute, Aloísio Lendaa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 10th minute, Baxters Boys's Staffan Åman ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dan Lundström. Dan Lundström yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After 13 played minutes Baxters Boys got a freekick which was hit by Staffan Åman. After 14 minutes, Heikki Heinikallio made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Baxters Boys's Börje Albohm tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by John Guidetti in the 21st minute of play forced BrommaPojkarna BK's goalkeeper Dan Lundström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Baxters Boys getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Johan Bäckman hit a great ball. 26 minutes into the match, BrommaPojkarna BK's Per-Arne Åkerberg broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Cornelio Olayo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dan Lundström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aloísio Lendaa in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dan Lundström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 33 minutes had been played when some careless play by BrommaPojkarna BK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Aloísio Lendaa was slow to take the kick. During this time Baxters Boys's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Aloísio Lendaa got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dan Lundström quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Staffan Åman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 39 minutes into the game, Cornelio Olayo lined in a short shot 3-1 behind a frustrated Dan Lundström. Emanuel Dijmărescu's late challenge caught a BrommaPojkarna BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emanuel Dijmărescu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 42nd minute, Emanuel Dijmărescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Heikki Heinikallio in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Börje Albohm saved Baxters Boys from getting behind. BrommaPojkarna BK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 47th minute, when Cornelio Olayo scored to the left of an out of position Dan Lundström, making the score, 4-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aloísio Lendaa was the one to do the kick off. Börje Albohm was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Anders Unesson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-2 in the 53 minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cornelio Olayo in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dan Lundström saved BrommaPojkarna BK from getting behind. With his leg Börje Albohm managed to avoid a goal in the 69thth minute, when BrommaPojkarna BK's Heikki Heinikallio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Baxters Boys's Frank Novella was substituted for John Guidetti. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heikki Heinikallio in the 73rd minute of play forced Baxters Boys's goalkeeper Börje Albohm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th minute, Heikki Heinikallio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 82nd minute Cornelio Olayo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dan Lundström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rdth minute of the game Uzay Gencalp who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BrommaPojkarna BK's Dan Lundström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Per-Arne Åkerberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dan Lundström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Uzay Gencalp in the 86th minute of the match. In the 89th minute, Anders Unesson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Börje Albohm was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-4. A collision led to Baxters Boys getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Radomir Debowy hit a great ball. Heikki Heinikallio charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Heikki Heinikallio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to BrommaPojkarna BK getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Heikki Heinikallio hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sven-Edvin Apelquist during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. BrommaPojkarna BK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
