The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of FC Töve booed when Liverpool Spiceboys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Njurenius didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 4 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Liverpool Spiceboys! The referee gave FC Töve a penalty, 6 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ove Wallgren, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Liverpool Spiceboys's King Zack. 0-1. Åke Rudberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sten Siggesson in the 13th minute of play. If Johan Magnusson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Liverpool Spiceboys's King Zack played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ingmar Hellkvist in the 21st minute of play. Åke Rudberg was a little too slow when Johannes Forsell got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 1-1. King Zack made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dan Bryngelsson in the 25th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Jim Billock hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 31 minutes into the match, Pål Lindqvist notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of FC Töve's Åke Rudberg. Åke Rudberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingmar Hellkvist in the 34th minute of play forced Liverpool Spiceboys's goalkeeper King Zack to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, FC Töve's Åke Rudberg got control of the ball when Pål Lindqvist tried to sneak it across the goal line. Urban Alebäck kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. FC Töve's Åke Rudberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save FC Töve from getting a goal against them. In the 42nd minute Liverpool Spiceboys were awarded a corner. Pål Lindqvist went to the cornerflag to take it. Liverpool Spiceboys's Pål Lindqvist was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Åke Rudberg in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 46 minutes into the match, Liverpool Spiceboys's goal looked a bit too open when Ingmar Hellkvist came free, but King Zack reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ingmar Hellkvist to make the kick off. King Zack made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingmar Hellkvist in the 51st minute of play. Åke Rudberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johan Magnusson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pål Lindqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sten Siggesson hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute, Sten Siggesson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Åke Rudberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. FC Töve's Åke Rudberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pål Lindqvist in the 81st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingmar Hellkvist in the 83rd minute of play forced Liverpool Spiceboys's goalkeeper King Zack to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Liverpool Spiceboys's zone, Ingmar Hellkvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. King Zack came out of the goal and Ingmar Hellkvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Liverpool Spiceboys booed when FC Töve was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nick Elin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 93 played minutes, Liverpool Spiceboys's Pål Lindqvist shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Åke Rudberg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Liverpool Spiceboys reached it. In the 94th match minute, FC Töve was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ove Wallgren to maneuver through the defense. In the 95th minute, Pål Lindqvist sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FC Töve's Åke Rudberg didn't even have to move. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Töve players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Liverpool Spiceboys.
