The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Mugur Bejenaru came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Ekedalen SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mugur Bejenaru couldn't finish the play. 36 minutes into the game, Ivar Burman recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Paulo Renato Dionísio. Ivar Burman showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Lennart Månsson had in the 43rdth minute some difficulties stopping Anders Christiansen's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 44 minutes into the game, Ekedalen SK's Tomas Nyström nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lennart Månsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ivar Burman made a kick off. KopparnsJärnGäng's Jimmy Löfdahl was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Paulo Renato Dionísio in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 58 minutes of play, Ekedalen SK's Anders Christiansen made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net.
