After some careless play in the Malmö FF defense, Lucas Rolfsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zekai Suat. The Malmö FF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zekai Suat should have stopped the shot. 9 minutes into the match, Älta BK's goalkeeper Mosinho Mos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Florian Candeloro. Zekai Suat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Rolfsson in the 10th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lucas Rolfsson in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zekai Suat prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florian Candeloro in the 26th minute of play forced Älta BK's goalkeeper Mosinho Mos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lukas Falkrans made a kick off. After 52 minutes of play, Malmö FF's Bobby Moore made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mosinho Mos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Zekai Suat came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Älta BK's Lucas Rolfsson. But to his dismay, Lucas Rolfsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Älta BK's Henning Gulliksson was substituted for Björn van der Doelen. Mosinho Mos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bobby Moore in the 64th minute of the match. Malmö FF made a substitution. Älta BK's Henk Veerman was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 85th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Thanks to some nice moves Javier Turi could shoot a difficult shot in the 91st minute, which Zekai Suat however easily saved by the left post. Henk Veerman's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 94thth minute, Zekai Suat skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 95th minute Älta BK were awarded a corner. Rareș Nicola went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Malmö FF's goalie and right to Henk Veerman. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Malmö FF's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal.
