The supporters of Drömelvan BK booed when Oldham Athletic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Muhammed-Emir Benice didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oldham Athletic's Guo Han Di played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hakkı Devrim Uçbay in the 48th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Hakkı Devrim Uçbay made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Hakkı Devrim Uçbay's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guo Han Di was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. The attack was good, but when Hakkı Devrim Uçbay in the 72nd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The corner led Oldham Athletic's Filippo Bobbio to fire away a dangerous shot which Tobias Billström despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Cristian-Federico Dolić received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute.
