In the 3rd minute, Baba Baba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 11 minutes into the match, Playboys's goal looked a bit too open when Norman Mabalane came free, but Edgar Kruse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute Norman Mabalane shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgar Kruse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Playboys's Edgar Kruse proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Playboys from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Playboys's David Rydelius got a free kick in the 36th minute. Cebrián Lama fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Staffan Eckegren having to interfere. After a rather tough play, G A I S's Sixten Ekström got a free kick in the 42nd minute. After the first half Playboys were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Norman Mabalane in the 56th minute of play forced Playboys's goalkeeper Edgar Kruse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 57 minutes Playboys's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Matthias Bern who took care of the corner kick. Cebrián Lama could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Staffan Eckegren made a huge save. Staffan Eckegren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jon Blixt in the 64th minute. With a little luck, G A I S's Staffan Eckegren got control of the ball when Cebrián Lama tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, G A I S's Alain Gibert got a free kick in the 75th minute. Edgar Kruse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cléber Marinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind G A I S's goalkeeper Staffan Eckegren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 81st minute Matthias Bern shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgar Kruse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sixten Ekström charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sixten Ekström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 82 played minutes G A I S got a freekick which was hit by Sixten Ekström. G A I S's Zavior Moiselo was substituted for Herman Biörkman. In the 83rd match minute, G A I S was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sixten Ekström to maneuver through the defense. Abuzer Alpsoy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Staffan Eckegren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edgar Kruse stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Norman Mabalane's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. Shao Zhi Ning kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Playboys players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for G A I S.
