The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Klemensas Balčiūnas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 25 minutes into the match, W.K.S Śląsk Żywocice's goal looked a bit too open when Maciej Gondek came free, but Klemensas Balčiūnas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wit Pilarski in the 26th minute of play forced W.K.S Śląsk Żywocice's goalkeeper Klemensas Balčiūnas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Atletico Gliwice's Maciej Gondek slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Klemensas Balčiūnas. That made the score 1-1 after 28 minutes of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edgar Dziurowicz during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Artur Osowski charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
