Real Madrid's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RKS Dąbrowa Górnicza the free kick. A collision led to Real Madrid getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Bogumil Wielowiejski hit a great ball. Dominic Llorente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filip Tychy in the 12th minute of play. Marek Major fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerzy Pyrtek having to interfere. After 25 minutes, Marek Major made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. RKS Dąbrowa Górnicza's Jerzy Pyrtek tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Wellington Moraes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of RKS Dąbrowa Górnicza booed when Real Madrid was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bogumil Wielowiejski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wellington Moraes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Marek Major came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Real Madrid fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marek Major couldn't finish the play. Wellington Moraes took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jerzy Pyrtek. Jerzy Pyrtek dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 44th minute, Fryderyk Kon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Real Madrid were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wellington Moraes to strike the kick off in the second half. Marek Major let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 56th minute shot 0-4 at rihgt post. 0-5 became the score in the 63rd minute when Wellington Moraes elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 68th minute Filip Tychy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dominic Llorente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Real Madrid getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Sebastian Popowicz hit a great ball. Wellington Moraes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to RKS Dąbrowa Górnicza getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Aleksander Hyska hit a great ball. Marek Major sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zbyszek Mietus was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 88 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Real Madrid fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 87th minute. Penalty! In the 90th minute, Tadeusz Arendarski made a precise shot to the right of Dominic Llorente. Real Madrid's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. In the 93rd minute Dobromir Golob shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dominic Llorente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Przemyslaw Scislowicz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dominic Llorente read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Real Madrid's Marek Major got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Real Madrid had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
