But to his dismay, Herbert Cerocki quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Eugeniusz Treppa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Radomil Penkalski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evandro Guimarães in the 11th minute of play forced Thurze SSA's goalkeeper Czeslaw Derlanga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Real Madryt booed when Thurze SSA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hieronim Rasiak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eugeniusz Treppa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hieronim Rasiak, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 23rd minute, Aysan Alan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vitório Faria's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. Evandro Guimarães could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Czeslaw Derlanga made a huge save. Real Madryt's Eugeniusz Treppa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radomil Penkalski in the 43rd minute of play. In the 47th minute, Real Madryt's Fabian Skonieczny ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Czeslaw Derlanga. Czeslaw Derlanga yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aysan Alan to make the kick off. After 54 minutes of play, Real Madryt's Robert Bierfass made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Czeslaw Derlanga was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pawel Hoffman was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 58 minutes into the match. The Thurze SSA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Czeslaw Derlanga should have stopped the shot.
