The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kazimierz Gondela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tadeusz Ciupierdo having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Kazimierz Gondela managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oblasek's supporters rose to their feet, but Kazimierz Gondela was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tadeusz Ciupierdo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tadeusz Ciupierdo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrzej Walkowski in the 8th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Oblasek's zone, Wincenty Drab stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Dres came out of the goal and Wincenty Drab tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Kazimierz Gondela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wincenty Drab couldn't finish the play. Dzietrzychowice SSA's Tadeusz Ciupierdo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Dzietrzychowice SSA from getting a goal against them.
