When Maciej Cieslak fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pidun's protests and gave Maciej Cieslak a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Pidun fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 42nd minute. Penalty! Armindo Carvalho shot the penalty kick right outside the post. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Janusz Solarek could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Raimo Ruutu made a huge save. 75 minutes into the match, Pidun's goal looked a bit too open when Raino Uusiniemi came free, but Tytus Tomporowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Radomir Gamza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Tytus Tomporowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC Barca had played much better football throughout.
