In the 38th minute of the match Sandomir got a corner. Wiecanowo SA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Virginijus Lapėnas ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Virginijus Lapėnas got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Krzysztof Borczak quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 39 minutes into the match, Sandomir's Tytus Wicherek sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Krzysztof Borczak narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The Sandomir fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Olgierd Moczkiewicz should have stopped the shot. Mateusz Buczko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olgierd Moczkiewicz having to interfere.
