Walery Skaradowski didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 3rd minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Walery Skaradowski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Waclaw Koperski's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. Tymoteusz Mios kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Borszymmen SA's Florian Kazimierz got a free kick in the 12th minute. After having played for 13 minutes, Juhan Kulu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lech Poznań's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juhan Kulu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sebastian Puszynski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guillermo Barros Schelotto in the 15th minute of the match. Borszymmen SA's Sebastian Puszynski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roland Rydzewski in the 16th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guillermo Barros Schelotto in the 17th minute of play forced Borszymmen SA's goalkeeper Sebastian Puszynski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Borszymmen SA's goal looked a bit too open when Juhan Kulu came free, but Sebastian Puszynski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th match minute, Borszymmen SA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michal Drozdowski to maneuver through the defense. Sebastian Puszynski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guillermo Barros Schelotto in the 25th minute of play. The supporters of Borszymmen SA booed when Lech Poznań was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roland Rydzewski didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juhan Kulu in the 36th minute of play forced Borszymmen SA's goalkeeper Sebastian Puszynski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zé Guimarães's late challenge caught a Lech Poznań's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zé Guimarães helped the player get up and apologised. Zé Guimarães kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Borszymmen SA's Aureliusz Byczewski was substituted for Waclaw Pysz. A collision led to Borszymmen SA getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Zé Guimarães hit a great ball. Sebastian Puszynski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kajetan Trela, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damazy Koczara in the 41st minute of play forced Lech Poznań's goalkeeper Walery Skaradowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 48th minute, Guillermo Barros Schelotto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sebastian Puszynski was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Guillermo Barros Schelotto to make the kick off. Juhan Kulu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian Puszynski having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Michal Drozdowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sebastian Puszynski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guillermo Barros Schelotto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lech Poznań's Guillermo Barros Schelotto was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 69th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Sebastian Puszynski was a little too slow when Guillermo Barros Schelotto got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 72nd minute. The score was now 2-3. In the 82nd minute Tadeusz Panikowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Puszynski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th minute, Lech Poznań's Tadeusz Panikowski ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sebastian Puszynski. Sebastian Puszynski yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-5. If Juhan Kulu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the match, Juhan Kulu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sebastian Puszynski. Borszymmen SA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Juhan Kulu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-6. After a rather tough play, Borszymmen SA's Ciriaco Arias got a free kick in the 94th minute. Wlodzimierz Owsiak's late challenge caught a Lech Poznań's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wlodzimierz Owsiak helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 95th minute of the game. One of Borszymmen SA:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Lech Poznań:s goal. The goalkeeper, Sebastian Puszynski, was totally fooled by Lech Poznań's Pankracy Misiorowski, who 96 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. When the match was over Lech Poznań could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Borszymmen SA throughout the match.
