Julian Jaworski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zdzislaw Bronicki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. KS Unia Ząbkowice's Zdzislaw Bronicki got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonard Sobczak in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julian Jaworski saved FC Diamond from getting behind. Zdzislaw Bronicki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Julian Jaworski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zdzislaw Bronicki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zdzislaw Bronicki's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julian Jaworski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. 0-1 became the score in the 29th minute when Zdzislaw Bronicki elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Slawomir Bochinski didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 35th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. Boguslaw Starogardzki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Waldemar Gargasz fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Diamond's protests and gave Waldemar Gargasz a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of KS Unia Ząbkowice booed when FC Diamond was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waldemar Gargasz didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonard Sobczak in the 46th minute of play forced FC Diamond's goalkeeper Julian Jaworski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wasyl Jaszcz hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Olaf Mleczewski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Olaf Mleczewski to make the kick off. Zdzislaw Bronicki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julian Jaworski having to interfere. Olaf Mleczewski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. KS Unia Ząbkowice's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonard Sobczak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julian Jaworski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zula Dobrowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 64 played minutes KS Unia Ząbkowice got a freekick which was hit by Boguslaw Starogardzki. Slawomir Bochinski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zula Dobrowski in the 79th minute of play. Zenon Mitus charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zenon Mitus the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After having played for 85 minutes, Olaf Mleczewski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Diamond's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olaf Mleczewski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
