After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Jan Bronkala managed to get in a good position for a shot. Keys's supporters rose to their feet, but Jan Bronkala was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tolek Smolarek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. GKS Ruch Izbica's Slawomir Treppa got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jan Bronkala got free with Tolek Smolarek in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Roman Marchefka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jan Bronkala was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute Jan Bronkala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tolek Smolarek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Keys's Roman Marchefka managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Barnaba Miodek in the 56 minute of the game. 61 minutes into the match, Keys's goal looked a bit too open when Slawomir Treppa came free, but Zachary Wierzchowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Keys's Jan Bronkala got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind GKS Ruch Izbica's goalkeeper Tolek Smolarek, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Keys's Zachary Wierzchowski got control of the ball when Bernard Wyrostek tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tolek Smolarek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Bronkala in the 71st minute of play. Tolek Smolarek didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roman Marchefka went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. If Milosz Mazurkiewicz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 76 played minutes GKS Ruch Izbica got a freekick which was hit by Iwo Kapera. In the 78th minute Jan Bronkala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tolek Smolarek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roman Marchefka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Tolek Smolarek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Roman Marchefka got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. GKS Ruch Izbica's Slawomir Treppa got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
