After a defensive mix-up in Wisznice's zone, Czeslaw Smolarek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benedykt Majorski came out of the goal and Czeslaw Smolarek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With 15 minutes on the clock, Szczepan Bochinski commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Dawid Rosen walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Benedykt Majorski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Czeslaw Smolarek's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Olaf Wodaszak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ryszard Niedziela in the 21st minute of play. Ryszard Niedziela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Olaf Wodaszak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sebastian Domeracki struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Benedykt Majorski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Odra Szczecin. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Czeslaw Smolarek in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benedykt Majorski saved Wisznice from getting behind. Benedykt Majorski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Czeslaw Smolarek's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. 42 minutes into the game, Marian Ziomkowski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wisznice's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Odra Szczecin the free kick. The supporters of Odra Szczecin booed when Wisznice was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marian Ziomkowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Czeslaw Smolarek came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Odra Szczecin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Czeslaw Smolarek couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Benedykt Majorski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sebastian Domeracki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Wisznice players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Odra Szczecin.
