But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teobald Marud couldn't finish the play. Wincenty Tylinski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Gaspar Reynardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaspar Reynardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wincenty Tylinski in the 32nd minute of the match. With a little luck, FC Żagań's Gaspar Reynardo got control of the ball when Lucjan Lagiewniki tried to sneak it across the goal line. Teobald Marud struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Alfred Gecionis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Żagań. After a defensive mix-up in DĄBROWA SA's zone, Franciszek Nieruchliwy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfred Gecionis came out of the goal and Franciszek Nieruchliwy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 41st match minute, DĄBROWA SA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bogdan Opat to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Franciszek Nieruchliwy managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Żagań's supporters rose to their feet, but Franciszek Nieruchliwy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfred Gecionis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Franciszek Nieruchliwy made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of FC Żagań booed when DĄBROWA SA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucjan Lagiewniki didn't get a good kick on the ball. Franciszek Nieruchliwy who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 53rdth minute tested the skills of Alfred Gecionis when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Gaspar Reynardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wincenty Tylinski in the 55th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wincenty Tylinski in the 56th minute of play forced FC Żagań's goalkeeper Gaspar Reynardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gaspar Reynardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucjan Lagiewniki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Franciszek Nieruchliwy might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfred Gecionis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Franciszek Nieruchliwy ran back to his position shaking his head. 63 minutes into the match, FC Żagań's goal looked a bit too open when Lucjan Lagiewniki came free, but Gaspar Reynardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zbyszko Klucznik hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Alfred Gecionis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Franciszek Nieruchliwy in the 76th minute. If Franciszek Nieruchliwy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute.
