If 邱树坤 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. Jan Koczara's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wladyslaw Borcz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. After having played for 46 minutes, Jan Koczara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ruch Chorzów's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jan Koczara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when 邱树坤 stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 邱树坤 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Wladyslaw Borcz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in kks zdech's zone, Gustaw Kissel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wladyslaw Borcz came out of the goal and Gustaw Kissel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jan Koczara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 邱树坤 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Wladyslaw Borcz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 邱树坤, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ruch Chorzów's Radoslaw Rybak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tolek Gall in the 84th minute of play.
