Zygmunt Skrzypiec sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Franciszek Smolarek struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Krzysztof Kowalski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rozniszew. After 24 minutes, Franciszek Smolarek made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. RUCH CHORZÓW's Krzysztof Kowalski tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Franciszek Smolarek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Krzysztof Kowalski having to interfere. After having played for 30 minutes, Barnaba Dziurowicz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rozniszew's supporters crossed their fingers, but Barnaba Dziurowicz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Franciszek Smolarek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stasio Pawelczyk made a kick off. If Roman Chodzinski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 52nd minute, Wladyslaw Budarz fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Krzysztof Kowalski, passed just outside the right post. Zygmunt Skrzypiec sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 60 played minutes Rozniszew got a freekick which was hit by Wladyslaw Budarz. When Szczepan Lech fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored RUCH CHORZÓW's protests and gave Szczepan Lech a yellow card for diving instead. In the 70th minute, Szczepan Lech hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Krzysztof Kowalski acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 71st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Kazimierz Niedbalski. 0-3 became the score in the 74th minute when Franciszek Smolarek elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Norbert Skarpiak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stasio Pawelczyk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd minute of the match, Franciszek Smolarek tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Krzysztof Kowalski saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After having played for 83 minutes, Barnaba Dziurowicz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rozniszew's supporters crossed their fingers, but Barnaba Dziurowicz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Franciszek Smolarek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Krzysztof Kowalski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rozniszew's Franciszek Smolarek got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Szczepan Lech hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Napoleon Hryc hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Rozniszew played a much better game than RUCH CHORZÓW and deserved their victory. The RUCH CHORZÓW players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
