The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gilbert Oliszewski was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Kryspin Babicki. 10 minutes into the match, Budoserwis FC's goal looked a bit too open when Torsten Åman came free, but Gilbert Oliszewski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 11 minutes, Wlodzimierz Rosiewicz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Polonia Marklowice's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wlodzimierz Rosiewicz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Przemyslaw Kuszczak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th match minute, Budoserwis FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wincenty Kolba to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Budoserwis FC's goalkeeper Gilbert Oliszewski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bogumil Siwek came free in the 40th minute and tried to tip the ball over Wincenty Chowaniec, but to the joy of Polonia Marklowice's supporters the ball went over. In the 43rd match minute, Polonia Marklowice was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emil Bazan to maneuver through the defense. Leon Arendarski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wincenty Chowaniec having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lorenzo Aleson to make the kick off. Polonia Marklowice's Przemyslaw Kuszczak got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Torsten Åman struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Gilbert Oliszewski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Polonia Marklowice. After having played for 62 minutes, Wlodzimierz Rosiewicz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Polonia Marklowice's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wlodzimierz Rosiewicz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gilbert Oliszewski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wlodzimierz Rosiewicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Przemyslaw Kuszczak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zula Tyski during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Polonia Marklowice booed when Budoserwis FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zula Tyski didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd minute, Wlodzimierz Rosiewicz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 92nd minute, Wlodzimierz Rosiewicz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gilbert Oliszewski was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Wlodzimierz Rosiewicz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Gilbert Oliszewski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gilbert Oliszewski came out of the goal in the 98th minute to try and stop a shot by Polonia Marklowice's Przemyslaw Kuszczak. But to his dismay, Przemyslaw Kuszczak quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Polonia Marklowice's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
