The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Wisła Kraków getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Boguslaw Furgat hit a great ball. Dziwiszów SA's Alfred Dziatkowski got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wisła Kraków's Slawomir Grondzki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leon Dynda in the 6th minute of play. Slawomir Grondzki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfred Dziatkowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Piotr Lemiesz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wasyl Lodowy in the 8th minute of the match. Piotr Lemiesz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wasyl Lodowy in the 14th minute of play. Slawomir Grondzki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leon Dynda in the 16th minute of the match. Alfred Dziatkowski took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Slawomir Grondzki. Slawomir Grondzki dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Zygmunt Olender fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Slawomir Grondzki having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Alfred Dziatkowski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Slawomir Grondzki was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Alfred Dziatkowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Slawomir Grondzki having to interfere. Roman Iwanowski might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Slawomir Grondzki. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roman Iwanowski ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Kajetan Dziatkowski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dziwiszów SA's supporters rose to their feet, but Kajetan Dziatkowski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Slawomir Grondzki breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alfred Dziatkowski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Slawomir Grondzki read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

In the 52nd minute, Alfred Dziatkowski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Alfred Dziatkowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dawid Tomaszewski's late challenge caught a Dziwiszów SA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. If Zygmunt Olender had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Slawomir Grondzki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfred Dziatkowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Roman Iwanowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Slawomir Grondzki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wasyl Lodowy hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Roman Iwanowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dziwiszów SA's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
