Ryszard Rode came out of the goal and Napoleon Marajda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Liverpool FC fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when Liverpool FC's Napoleon Marajda looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Skorpion Gliwice's Ryszard Rode played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Napoleon Marajda in the 13th minute of play. 18 minutes into the game, Liverpool FC's Napoleon Marajda nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ryszard Rode made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After 24 minutes, Tymoteusz Turak mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Skorpion Gliwice and the Liverpool FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Liverpool FC booed when Skorpion Gliwice was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tymoteusz Turak didn't get a good kick on the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Napoleon Marajda had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ryszard Rode. Skorpion Gliwice's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Napoleon Marajda was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilbert Mochowak in the 28th minute of play forced Skorpion Gliwice's goalkeeper Ryszard Rode to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute Gilbert Mochowak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ryszard Rode saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marian Ikalewicz kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Liverpool FC's Gilbert Mochowak got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Liverpool FC's Marcin Kapelski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norbert Jajko in the 37th minute of play. After some careless play in the Skorpion Gliwice defense, Gilbert Mochowak kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ryszard Rode. The Skorpion Gliwice fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ryszard Rode should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Napoleon Marajda in the 43rd minute of play forced Skorpion Gliwice's goalkeeper Ryszard Rode to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 44 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Napoleon Marajda sped through Skorpion Gliwice's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ryszard Rode. 47 minutes into the match, Liverpool FC's Napoleon Marajda sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ryszard Rode narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Skorpion Gliwice players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Liverpool FC were winning 0-5.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Napoleon Marajda to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Liverpool FC's Gilbert Mochowak ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ryszard Rode. Ryszard Rode yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. Skorpion Gliwice's Marian Ikalewicz managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Stanislaw Domaradzki in the 54 minute of the game. The nice shot from Gilbert Mochowak in the 66thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Ryszard Rode had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. 70 minutes into the game, Napoleon Marajda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Liverpool FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Skorpion Gliwice the free kick. The supporters of Skorpion Gliwice booed when Liverpool FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Napoleon Marajda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ryszard Rode stood somewhat misplaced when Gilbert Mochowak came free in front of goal and shot 0-7 to the left of him in the 74 minute. Ryszard Rode took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Napoleon Marajda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ryszard Rode showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Napoleon Marajda in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 88th minute, Gilbert Mochowak got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 89 minutes into the match, Skorpion Gliwice's goal looked a bit too open when Napoleon Marajda came free, but Ryszard Rode reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 92 minutes Skorpion Gliwice's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Waclaw Frankowski who took care of the corner kick. Through an outstanding action, after 96 minutes, Ryszard Rode successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Liverpool FC played a much better game than Skorpion Gliwice and deserved their victory. The Skorpion Gliwice players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
