With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aureliusz Podolski in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Radomil Golec saved Peythunen from getting behind. In the 5th minute, Jakub Kalinowski made a precise shot to the right of Przemyslaw Frenzel. Legia Warszawa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 9 minutes into the game, Peythunen's Jakub Kalinowski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Przemyslaw Frenzel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. A collision led to Legia Warszawa getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Beniamin Dulka hit a great ball. Beniamin Dulka's late challenge caught a Peythunen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Beniamin Dulka helped the player get up and apologised. After 13 played minutes Legia Warszawa got a freekick which was hit by Beniamin Dulka. After 15th play minutes Aureliusz Podolski shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Radomil Golec and just under the crossbar into goal. Przemyslaw Frenzel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tolek Watarz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peythunen's Radomil Golec played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aureliusz Podolski in the 25th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Peythunen's zone, Aureliusz Podolski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Radomil Golec came out of the goal and Aureliusz Podolski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 27th minute, Norbert Piwowarski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Peythunen's Radomil Golec played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aureliusz Podolski in the 29th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Peythunen's Waldemar Kazczyk got a free kick in the 31st minute. If Beniamin Dulka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Radomil Golec showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aureliusz Podolski in the 41st minute of the match. Legia Warszawa's defense didn't have a chance, in the 44th minute, when Jakub Kalinowski scored to the left of an out of position Przemyslaw Frenzel, making the score, 3-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aureliusz Podolski to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Legia Warszawa's goal looked a bit too open when Jakub Kalinowski came free, but Przemyslaw Frenzel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Aureliusz Podolski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Radomil Golec was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. 56 minutes into the match, Legia Warszawa's Aureliusz Podolski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Radomil Golec narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Aureliusz Podolski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tolek Watarz in the 65th minute of play forced Legia Warszawa's goalkeeper Przemyslaw Frenzel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Peythunen's zone, Aureliusz Podolski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Radomil Golec came out of the goal and Aureliusz Podolski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Przemyslaw Frenzel came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Peythunen's Tolek Watarz. But to his dismay, Tolek Watarz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. After a defensive mix-up in Legia Warszawa's zone, Jakub Kalinowski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Przemyslaw Frenzel came out of the goal and Jakub Kalinowski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aureliusz Podolski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Radomil Golec tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aureliusz Podolski in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Radomil Golec saved Peythunen from getting behind. If Aureliusz Podolski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Beniamin Dulka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 94 played minutes Legia Warszawa got a freekick which was hit by Beniamin Dulka. Legia Warszawa's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Peythunen had won, even though Legia Warszawa had held more of the ball.
