The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pankracy Sowa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kacper Dudzik having to interfere. 7 minutes into the game, Lucjan Wlodyga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ottawa Senators's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tchev the free kick. Cyprian Dubilas got a throw-in 11 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Mateusz Robak. Wit Bator was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 17th minute. Ottawa Senators's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Leonard Drzewucki was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Wit Bator showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 21 minute of play. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tchev's goalkeeper Leonard Drzewucki, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Wit Bator had several of the Tchev's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 33 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Leonard Drzewucki as he didn't even see the shot coming. If Wit Bator had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Ottawa Senators getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Edmund Pietrowski hit a great ball. After having played for 45 minutes, Wit Bator managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ottawa Senators's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wit Bator was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 47th minute, Tchev's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Edmund Pietrowski fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wit Bator stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Leonard Drzewucki didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ottawa Senators. Ottawa Senators's Edmund Pietrowski has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 61st minute. When Wit Bator got free in front of the goal in the 63rd minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Leonard Drzewucki was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Tchev's Leonard Drzewucki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmund Pietrowski in the 64th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Ottawa Senators's Wit Bator sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leonard Drzewucki narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ottawa Senators's Florian Pietrasz was substituted for Wit Bator. After 73 minutes Tchev's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Aleksander Awizo who took care of the corner kick. 83 minutes into the game, Piotr Zabrzeski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ottawa Senators's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tchev the free kick. A collision led to Ottawa Senators getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Piotr Zabrzeski hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Ottawa Senators had won after a very even match.
