But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olaf Kornaszewski couldn't finish the play. Erasmo Saldanha came free with the goalkeeper in the 33rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ziemowit Makomaski could save by the left post. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erasmo Saldanha to make the kick off. GKS KATOWICE's Erasmo Saldanha got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ziemowit Makomaski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erasmo Saldanha in the 55th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wawrzyniec Borkowski during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 81st minute, Erasmo Saldanha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ziemowit Makomaski was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 84 minutes into the match, Puste Kufle Siemianowice's goal looked a bit too open when Olaf Kornaszewski came free, but Ziemowit Makomaski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugeniusz Chrobak in the 88th minute of play forced Puste Kufle Siemianowice's goalkeeper Ziemowit Makomaski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erasmo Saldanha struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Ziemowit Makomaski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GKS KATOWICE. After some careless play in the Puste Kufle Siemianowice defense, Tibaut Martens kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ziemowit Makomaski. The Puste Kufle Siemianowice fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ziemowit Makomaski should have stopped the shot. In the 95th minute Erasmo Saldanha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ziemowit Makomaski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 96 minutes, Eugeniusz Dunajski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GKS KATOWICE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eugeniusz Dunajski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee ended the match the GKS KATOWICE players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
