Hanffen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Slawomir Ostrowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Filip Ledochowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Zembry SA booed when Hanffen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tolek Adamowicz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Hanffen's zone, Wiktor Bronder stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lech Kaznocha came out of the goal and Wiktor Bronder tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zelislaw Zieba was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Wiktor Bronder made a precise shot to the right of Lech Kaznocha. Hanffen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. John Tomaschewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Slawomir Ostrowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Filip Ledochowski got free with John Tomaschewski in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 68 minutes in the game, Filip Ledochowski fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without John Tomaschewski having to interfere. A hard shot by Wiktor Skaradoski from long distance, 77 minutes into the match, got John Tomaschewski's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Lech Kaznocha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wiktor Bronder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hanffen's goalkeeper Lech Kaznocha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 92nd match minute, Hanffen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan Paprotny to maneuver through the defense. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
