But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damazy Rydzewski couldn't finish the play. If Marek Tipinski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ryszard Budacz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marek Tipinski, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Marek Tipinski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 10 minutes into the game, Stefan Kiewra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zdziechowice's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Summowen the free kick. The supporters of Summowen booed when Zdziechowice was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stefan Kiewra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Damazy Rydzewski struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Ryszard Budacz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Summowen. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zdziechowice's goalkeeper Ryszard Budacz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ignacy Literski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lech Mlekodaj read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Marek Tipinski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ryszard Budacz having to interfere. Benedykt Gerlach kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Summowen's Bartlomiej Cwynar got a free kick in the 29th minute. If Pankracy Ludwa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ryszard Budacz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marek Tipinski in the 43rd minute of the match. Damazy Rydzewski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 67th minute of the match Franciszek Marud sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lech Mlekodaj skillfully saved the ball. Pankracy Ludwa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lech Mlekodaj having to interfere. With a little luck, Zdziechowice's Ryszard Budacz got control of the ball when Damazy Rydzewski tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lech Mlekodaj showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pankracy Ludwa, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Summowen were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
