Kazimierz Niezywy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcin Laskowski having to interfere. Marcin Lepucki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafal Moryl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kazimierz Niezywy to make the kick off.
